7 Random Things About Me

1. I’m not an OCD person, but when I get ready in the morning, I follow the same routine...shower, dry off and leave my towel on, remove any leftover eye make-up, brush my teeth, put on deodorant, dry out my ears with Q-tips (I have to be in a comfortable position, like sitting on the edge of the tub so that I can enjoy that to the fullest). Then I brush my hair, get partially dressed, do my hair, do my make-up and then finish getting dressed. I get a little grumpy if I have to do it out of order for some reason and I don’t remember the last time I was able to do all of that without getting interrupted.

2. Ever since my friend Kamae and I were little, I’ve been obsessed with splitting my nails (both fingers and toes...gross, I know).

3. I worked in the bakery at Albertson’s.

4. One of my life’s dreams is to own and run a bed and breakfast.

5. I have a widow’s peak and my arms don’t fully straighten.

6. I currently have 20 piano students, 4 children, 1 husband and 0 pets.

7. My husband does the laundry because I’m so bad at it.

Linda, Jenny, Heidi, Sarah and Kim...tag, you're it!

Happy Halloween!

Omniture is out of control!

My sister, Kristen, works at a company called Omniture and they are crazy! Each department gets thousands of dollars to use and they each pick a theme and go all out. The executive department went Disney and it seriously was like Disneyland, but without the rides! They honestly fly 7 midgets in from Vegas and they were the dwarfs! I couldn't get over it. Kristen's department decided to do celebrities in jail and she was Martha Stewart. Check out all of her details in her picture. She did a good job! The kids loved it, except for the fact that it was very crowded. The winning department gets a large budget for a fun party. I want to work there!:)

Trip to Thanksgiving Point's Cornbelly's

We went with my cousin Staci and her kids, Jacob and Kera, to Cornbelly's. I took Paige out of school for the morning so she could go with us. Once we got there and realized how much it cost and how much there was to do, we decided to stay all day. It was a lot of fun! However, word to the wise, don't take a cheap umbrella stroller through a corn maze. I think I carried it as much as I pushed it. It didn't work so well. They also had a giant inflatable dinosaur (probably 3/4 the length of a football field) that you could walk through. We barely made it past the tonsils before the kids were crying hysterically. Paige even had nightmares that night. So, not the high point of the trip, but they thoroughly loved everything else!

Jack's Pumpkins

My mom found this sign and bought it because we just had to have it for our porch! It was a nice touch!

Carving pumpkins

"No! It's not ready yet!" Apparently we weren't allowed to take pictures until the project was complete!
It's not a true pumpkin carving night with Austin if a drill isn't involved!
